Alright, one more question. I have had my car in a unheated old factory for almost a month now. The engine hasn't been started since I put the car in storage. Is it too late to fog the engine??
USMC302 - No offense taken ( I get this all the time) but you must realize that I'm using all 302 parts in order to pass emissions. I'm using unported 302 Performer heads, and an unported Performer RPM intake, and shorty headers. My goal was to make the quickest street-legal Mustang in this area, and I've done that. Plus, it looks like you have about 2-300 lbs less than me (you're a LX), and you have better heads. My MPH is down, but I think it's due to me lifting off the throttle before the final stripe at the strip. I have a ton of tuning to do as this motor only has 600 miles on it and I've only made 3 passes. So, in other words, yes you are right. I should and could go faster if I spent more money and tuned her a bit. But 12's makes me very happy for now.
