Horse Power All At Once
I was just thinking.. you can keep adding stuff along the way and finaly get to your goal ET... but I would imagine it's probabaly easiest to do it all at once.. if you're going to take down your engine, might as well do the whole deal.
Ive got my 89 GT Convertible... so that means it's heavy, and I'm not lightweight either, plus it's AOD. But I've always wanted a 12 second car..... and I mean 12.1, not so much 12.9. I figure I might as well just DO it... I've got a job, so I can afford stuff.. within reason. lets say I took 3000$ would that get me everything I needed for a 12 second car assuming I could do all the work, with exception of machine work. but breaking down the motor and stuff like that. Can this be done on the stock short block leaving the engine in the car? Lets leave suspension out of this for the time being. To complicate things.. this is also a daily driver. I HAVE another car, but I would like to drive this one as much as possible.
I would imagine I would need at the bare minimum:
Intake (TFS Track Heat?)
Heads/1.7 Roller Rockers (Twisted Wedge/Scorpion)
Cam (?)
Fuel Pump (190?)
Adj FPR
Mass Air Meter (Some Larger Diameter)
Throttle Body (Some Larger Diameter)
What I have:
O/R H Pipe, BBK Unequals, Flowmasters
3.73 Gears
I know everyone's going to have thier idea on how to get there.. I wanna hear what everyone has to say..
