I put a set of Groundpounder subs on my '86 convertible. In order to fit any connectors on, you will have to cut off the rear "reinforcement" brackets that go from the rear sub-frame to the body on convertibles. They're basically useless anyway. It made a world of difference. No more rattles... till it got hit by a company van
