Okay lots of misinformation here. For starters all 99+ GT's come with 3.27's, 3.25's aren't even a gear made for the 8.8 rear end. 3.55 gears are going to be a complete waste of time. 4.10's would be a much better choice unless you have plans for a power adder in which case 3.73's might be a better selection. 4.30's are an extreme gear that is what I use on my car and mine is a daily driver that has 94K miles and sees the freeway daily. 4.10's are to 4.6 motors what 3.73's where to the 5.0 guys.

Your stock transmission is the tremec 3650 not a T-5. T-5's have not been available since 1995. From 1996 all 4.6 mod motors came with T-45 which was made by Borg Warner then sometime in 98 Tremec bought them out and started to make the parts for the T-45's including cases. The T-45 came in Mustangs until 2001 which is when they went to the 3650. Some T-45's (such as mine) are stamped tremec but are really the same Borg Warner design. Overall there really is no difference between the T-45 and 3650 other than shifter.

As for shifters UPR gets my vote, very similair design to Steeda, cheaper and made from a higher tensile strength aluminum. Had mine for nearly 3 years and no problems.
