coupe devil I don't mean to argue cuz as we both know you are correct, but dealing with my experience with my dragbike motors you ought to be able to stroke a stroker crank.Follow my logic When you are putting a 400M crank in a 351 you are stroking the motor but it isn't a stroker crank It is a 400m crank in a smaller engine. So if you can stroke the stock crank in a 302 or a 351 approx. 3/16" some times more to achieve approx 331 and 377 respectively. Since the Crank I would be using is essentialy a stock 400m crank why couldn't I stroke it a little over a 1/4" shouldn't I be able to achieve displacement somewhere in the 425-433 cubic inches(depending upon how much overbore you do to the block) from the motor we both know would be a 408 if left stock.( I am sure that there may be some block clearance issues with the rod bolts or counterwieghts and maybe even some piston skirt clearance problems but you could purchase custom pistons anyway) Does that make my initial query on the possibilities of C.U. variations with my available parts correct or am I in error. As I have said before my experience is limited in this area but if it will work in a bike Motor it ought to work in a car one .Unless yall know of some other reason why it can't be done that I am overlooking..........Please be kind I was very liberal on my estimation of strokes and thier achieved C.U. I may have made slight miscalculations but I belive the general theory is correct.Don't worry if you are scratching your head , Cuz I have confused myself as well.......................Put the pipe down and back slowly away................ that's right drop the lighter...........Crack kills! And I forgot about destroking motors to get different combos. For some reason why I can't understand why you would spend money on some thing like that unless you were looking for a really high revving big bore short stroke motor in a class where you are limited to a certain displacement?

(if I were required to run a certain displacement or less I would want the combo that would give me the highest revving motor with the biggest bore/shortest stroke I could feasibly Build ,Unless it was aclass that requires the use of a lot of stock parts and breakage was a big issue like in Factory Stock racers at NMRA events You might want to detune the engine to help reliability of the drive train since even if you have the fastest car in the field if it won't hold together you can't go rounds and if you can't go rounds you can't win races,or money,or championships Boy I have really gotten off track haven't I. I am going to stop taking painkillers and drinking Vodka at the same time................at least when I am typing.(I WAS KIDDING ABOUT THE CRACK)
