I dunno dude, but it seems like you and your friends are the ones who may have the driving problems (FORGIVE ME IF I'M WRONG, JUST A SUGGESTION-I know you said it was slippery out there, but that is when you adjust your driving practice and drive even MORE cautiously and slowly).
The female running into the back of someone (that's a hard thing to do if you're paying attention and not driving too close to someone), your friend backing out of his driveway and hitting someone (yeah, I've seen those people who start backing out first and THEN look back instead of looking b4 and WHILE they back out)
, and
you almost getting into "4" other accidents on your way to see the girl.
How old are you guys? I know it may sound like I'm belittling your pain, but I'm not. It just seems to me that you guys are the ones that need to learn how to drive better in those conditions and be more careful. And yes you will be next if you don't be more careful.
I guess it depends on how much you love your car and how much money and time you put into it yourself, determines how much you take care of it and how long it lasts. Yeah, of course, there are exceptions to this, but few and far between. Take care and be careful.
