Thanks.. Yeah the arm popped off the linkage...BUT it will slip back on.. I found out why the arm died abruptly. Previous owner had slipped the ball end in the linkage and to hold it in, twist-tied the two arms together. The twist tie snapped, letting the linkage drop. I added another twist tie, and kept it loose so it allows as much possibly movement without letting the arm release...works fine for now, and fine by me! I might add a more reliable double-twist-tie system soon but I ran out.
