Sorry, I don't really know. Just didn't want to leave you hanging. Is it a specific replacement for a mustang? Most race car stuff is all fabricated, meaning welding and cutting. I think it should go straight in. If the leaf spring mounts are in the stock location, it should bolt right up. The stock driveshaft will probably not work. If I remember right the 9 inch pumpkin sticks out further. Shortening or lengthening the driveshaft is no problem for any drivetrain specialist. You might want to put up a post in the Classic mustang section of this website. I don't think anyone here has much experience with 9 inch rear ends, cause the 8.8's can take a beating. Good Luck!
