Unhappy 4 cylinder to 5.0 conversion (fuel injection)

I have a '91 hatch, got the engine, tranny, new clutch, pressure plate, basically the works. Everything is in the car. Other than going back and reinstalling the dowel pins for the clutch (which sucks) i don't think this is the problem. number 1 is i cannot figure out the emissions lines (specifically the hoses that come out of the pass. side fender into the engine bay) yes, i got the small v8 vacuum canister. computer, wiring harness for mass air, throttle cable are all fine. SECOND, the fuel line rerouting from the drivers side to the pass. side, i know one hose goes to the tank and one hose goes from the tank, these may be swapped, i don't know. As far as i know this is all. Before the battery died it did make pathetic, "trying to start" noises but it did not turn over. I took it (towed actually) to the shop and now they are saying its not getting power to the coil... ??? what in the hell... i was not expecting this many problems and it seems like no shops will work on it now because it is a "customization" and there are "liability issues" so i am stuck. any ideas would be appriciated....... thanks!!!!!!
