If it's hardly used, cheap & you know the owner fairly well it may be a good purchase.
As long as it has been taken care of,(ie the oil's been changed regularly & not overspun) then it should be a good blower.
With the original pulley, it will put out around 6 psi of boost. You can get smaller pulleys for them and/or a modified impeller (with curved blades) to get 10 psi out of it. (the regular impeller has straight blades)
Another good option is an oil cooler. It basically circulates the oil inside the blower thru an oil cooler, prolonging the life of the blower (especially for a car that sees alot of street driving).
