Unfortunately on the 4.6's, you cant just adjust the timing like on the 5.0's. The 98 I believe has 2 coil packs (4 cyls each) which unlike a distributor cant be adjusted. However, Steeda makes a timing adjuster for them which can be purchased to do this. Also, a power chip can be used to adjust the timing, but once it's set, you cant adjust it afterwords without having it re-burned. There is an air silencer that you can take out, but you have to pulle the whole air box to get to it. If you do that then get the cold air kit. They arent very expensive either and produce noticable results in the Cobra's. The Cobra's also LOVE long tube headers and an X pipe. These are relatively mild to moderate modifications which will produce significant results.
