I had a friend who ate up a centerforce clutch rather quickly. But then he was running a Big Block with alot of torque. He is also a very hard driver. He beats on his cars. That is the only time I ever heard of Center forces being bad. And with your combo a 289 in a light 65 you should have no problem. And no "Clutchitis"
