Motorsport makes valve cover gaskets that have a 3/16 metal frame with o-rings on both sides you get the clearance and you can reuse them many times. I had mine off 6+ times no leaks, work good, just an option.

The above gaskets are the best way to go, IMHO... I've been using the same set for the last 8yrs.
...and have had the valve covers off several hundred times. Well worth the initial cost vs. the cork gaskets
Don't get me wrong, though, as the as the cork gaskets will work just fine......
