Motorcraft # FL1A or FL1HP, the HP version flows more gal.per minute. You can take the best motor oil in the world, and if you never change it you will ruin the engine, or you can take the worst stuff on the market and chances are if you change it often enough you will be fine. Personally I love synthetics as they offer better protection than anything else, BUT you still have to change the oil on a regular basis. The filter will only trap so much dirt and then it needs changing, no matter how good the oil is.
You can buy a lot of oil and filters for what a engine costs!
