Default bought other mustang with new motor &...

when i drive it in first gear, (stop and go traffic for example) it stalls a lot easier than my 89 stang. i have to give it a lot more gas to pull forward and have to put the clutch in much quicker when i am going and stopping. is this just the difference in the motors or something? OR can something be adjusted to make it run and not stall without a lot of gas/rpms? Thanks a lot!
