Eric, my #5 plug kept getting fouled with oil. I immediately assumed I needed a ring job which the shop told me would cost more than buying a brand new short block. As long as I was changing the short block, I may as well get a 351W. I was able to rationalize thousands of dollars of upgrades to my wife.

The extra $40k a year I was making didn't hurt, either.

I have a new transmission cross member that I could sell you for like $40. Are you interested? All you have to do is get it welded once the transmission is mounted.
