Well,
Let me be one of the very few....errrr (looks like maybe the only one SO FAR)...to say a few nice things about High Volume Pumps. I happen to run a Milodon HV Oil Pump and it is awesome!
True I shift between 7500 and 8000 Rpms, so that is important to factor in. My oil Pressure is allot more responsive then when I had my stock pump. I would think the other benefit of a High Volume Pump is that it gets the oil to your parts allot quicker.
As for oil leaks, I have none (watch, now that I made that statement I will be stuffing rags into every corner of the block

) Seriously, no leaks to speak of at this time.
In any case, some other reasons to get a HI Volume pump for allot of you mustang owners, In paticular you SuperCharger and Turbo guys is that you should see a 20% to 30% increase in performance both in volume and pressure. Why is that important? Well the greater the load on bearings, like increased compression will do that. And we all know that many a mustang owner runs SuperChargers and Turbos on their cars and both applications raise your compression ratio significantly which in turn places allot more stress and load on your bearings.
Anyway, just my two cents.
