carb gods help please
I am new to the carb thing and don't know much about them so I could use some help. I bought a "Holley 750cfm HP with mechanical secondaries tuned by Reed's performance" from Ebay. After looking the carb over I noticed that the airbleeds have been removed, and two holes have been drilled on the front throtal plates. Why would they do this, and will this thing even idle like this?
What do "screw in air bleeds" do anyways, and what is the point of them? Also on the metering blocks there is two screws... what do they do? There is also a number wrote in marker on top of the fuel bowls. I think it said 58 but I know for sure it was ?8. What would that number mean?
Thanks,
Wade
