Default Camshaft to Fuel Pump Pin

Ok, I put the camshaft in and I put the longest pin the edelbrock had in to the cam. The pin was long enough to go into the timingchain gear but it was not long enough to go through the gear and into the fuel pump centric. The sent me two pins. Do I need to put both pins in to make it reach or is there a longer pin I can get. The engine previously had an electric pump so there was not a pin when I took it apart. HELP!!!!HELP!!!!HELP!!!!HELP!!!!HELP!!!!HELP!!!!HE LP!!!!HELP!!!!HELP!!!!HELP!!!!HELP!!!!
