I blocked the egr off at the intake(lower) and also plugged the heads. Yes, you can lower the timing, but may still slightly ping at part throttle, I've never had a problem at wot. The computer adds a lot of advance at part throttle due to the fact of egr lowering combustion temos. If I had to do it over again i woauld probablly have left the egr alone. Only real advantageis a slightly cooler intake and I guess runner cleanliness over a long period.

I think you can surpass 250 hp w/ the stock upper. I dynoed a little over 230 rwhp with a stock intake, upper and lower, and stock headers. 230rwhp is around 260-265 fwhp.
