My brother bought his first stang, a '90, a few years ago. It had 150K on it when he bought it and over 250K when he sold it. He never had anything done to it. Even the AOD was still stock! The people who bought it pulled the motor/tranny at 300K and replaced them just for piece of mind. They totaled the car 2 weeks later

. That is amazing if you ask me, almost unbelievable but I saw it. My old '91 has about 140K on it now but the tranny has been rebuilt and it has a bad lifter. Other than that the '91 hasn't had any problems. My '93 has been a whole different story, the motor crapped out at 70K miles, the tranny went shortly after. Now that I have a 331 in the car, I have gotten pretty used to pulling and rebuilding the T5! I have seen several other 5.0's go well past the 150K mark though. They are some of the best motors ever made in my opinion, but like everything, sometimes a bad one comes along and I happened to get a bad one with the '93
