lol.. hmm well now I'm having second thoughts.
One time, idiot that I am, left a rag in my engine after I checked my oil. I started driving and I started smelling smoke.. saw a little smoke coming from the engine so I immediately pulled over, opened the hood and there was a little fire goin on in there
Luckily I had bottled water in the car and dumped it on it, put it out pretty quick. It only damaged a couple wires and a vacuum line luckily. So now that I know its a fire blanket I'm rather skeptical. However, I suppose if the car is going to catch a big fire, that blanket probly wont do much good eh?
