pony_power_90, Edelbrock heads do not give you the same piston to valve clearance that TFS TWs would. Part of the reason for putting the valves at an angle is to give you more room for lift. The other part is to position the spark plug better for combustion. My comment wasn't an argument as to which head design was better, it was just a warning that what you can get away with TFS TW heads you may not be able to do with Edelbrock heads - Namely 1.73 rockers with an E303 cam.

Your friend's experiences are great, but you would really need all the info about what he did. Things in an engine work as a whole, not as a single entity. If parts he had worked better with an Edelbrock it doesn't mean that they are better than TFS TWs.
