I have the mustang performance handbook part 2: chassis and suspension, and according to the author the 73mm (??) calipers from the '87 to '88 Mark VII will work well for good stoppage, and bolt directly in. I'm going to do this as well once i get the spindles/struts from a later model. I've heard it works well for street use.
