yeah, i brought it to a mechanic at first cause I was too busy to mess with it...... he said it was the gauge in the dash.. and was trying it find a used one.. after not finding one (or not really looking) for like a week i said, forget it.. and then i dropped my tank and found the sender was toast... I dunno how he concluded that it was the gauge in the dash, perhaps because there's an ANTI SLOSH mechanism... so the gauge wont bounce from empty to full when you get full ground...it will slowly get there... so if you ground the contacts in the sender.. it'll eventualy get to full but not instantly... so dont get worried if it doesnt seem to move right away... so there ya have it... check the tank... it's a ***** job... and try to make sure the tank is close to empty before you drop it... you'll wish you had if you dont
