Default Non-perfomance-related problem

OK, sorry for wasting a post on such a mundane question, but...

I bought a used 2000GT, and I noticed on the drive home that the instrument glass (plastic) was dirty.

When I got home, I tried some windex to get rid of the spots, but they would not come off. I would try a more powerful solvent, but I dont want to risk etching the plastic.

I was also going to try to take clear plastic cover off, to see if the marks on it were somehow on the backside, but after removing the bezel, I cant seem to find a way to get it off.

Does this mean you cant replace the clear plastic cover without getting a whole new instrument cluster? Or is there a way to take it off?

If it turns out that the spots were caused by the previous owner using nailpolish remover or somthing on the plastic, is there a place where you can buy a replacement?

Thanks,

xto
