Well there is really no problem with a head flowing to much, but the real question is at what cost.
port volume is no real indicator of velocity.
Then again, you need to ask yourself how much HP your looking for?
After you arrive at this figure, purchase your cylinder heads with that in mind.
You want to go with the smallest port that flows the right amount of air for your application and in at the right lift points.
There are like a kajillion heads for the windsor engines out there, they are designed to operate in specific areas; street, street-strip, strip, ect. Then you've got power header apps along with n/a apps, ect.
