The fuel filter is new. and the plugs all 7 that were left intact are black and fouled out. with in exception of maybe 2 of them that have a clean spot on the electrod. the one that broke though there isn't anything in side the plug to tell, but the end that goes in the block wasn't that badly corroded. I agree that the plug was most likely faulty. and the compression was high enough to finish breaking it. But as of right now i can't get the dumb thing started. I believe the gaskets under the carb and on the intake manifold is blown.
