now, as far as I'm concerned, the slanderous talk here is uncalled for.
I'm simply stating that I do not believe your stock convertible ran a 14.2 on street tires. I just dont believe it, and you calling me dumb is not gonna change that. Show me a video and i'll believe it. Read around, do some research, and you'll find 14.2's in a stock full weight vert are extremely rare numbers.
I dont doubt you think you ran a 14.2, but chances are there are lurking variables, such as something being wrong with your track or its equipment. For instance, My car runs 3 tenths slower at San Antonio Raceway than it does in Tyler, TX. Does this mean my car is moody? No, the track in Tyler is shorter than it should be and slightly downhill, but that doesnt stop people from saying their cars are faster than they really are.
I used the HP analyzer on this website to calculate your estimated horsepower, and with the numbers you gave 14.2@99.7 + a full weight vert @ 3600 lbs (conservative) you should be making 280 horsepower. It doesnt specify wheel or flywheel, but as far as I know, exhaust will rarely net you +60hp.
These statistics are crude, but they prove my point.
