Default I'll second that...

I have to agree...

I spent $240 a couple of years ago on a billet Mallory distributor when I upgraded all of my ignition stuff with a motor rebuild.

What I got for my trouble was a pain in the butt occassional high-end miss that proved very difficult to pin down. After swapping everything else(TFI's, coils, etc..) it proved to be the hall sensor INSIDE of the new fancy-schmancy billet distributor.

So, I chunked the $240 distributor turned boat anchor and put the OEM 120,000 mile distributor back in and it ran like a champ.

Now, with a 145,000 miles on it, the OEM unit finally started missing and the gear was fairly worn, so I got the MSD distributor. Most places want $200+ for an OEM Motorsport distributor, so I said what the heck and got the MSD for $280.

Boy, that was boring.
