I have Lakewood 70/30 struts, and 50/50 shocks. They work a lot better then the stock set up for launching. I can feel the front end pop up more on hard launches, the only bad thing is it's kind of a rough ride on the street, and the car floats a little on the highway at higer speeds. But they do what they were designed to do. Tokico makes a 5 way adjustable shock and strut, that are suppose to be pretty good, I'm actually thinking about these for my project car.
Try removing your front sway bar when you run at the track, this will help transfer weight better to the rear. Also air down the rear tires some, to help spread out the surface area of the tire.
