i would recommend going with a 393 stroker, especially with the power adder. A point to ponder, the horsepower to speculating to acheive should be way over 500 hp. Your connecting rods are going to have to be a very good high quality choice. The rod on the 393 is a 351 rod. The other different cubic inch stroker rods are a unique length. Rods are going to be cheaper if you consider that the 351 rods are going to be more readily available and should be cheaper. Also consider the balancing that is going to be required. The crankshafts for those stroker cranks usually still require balancing, and if you buy a low buck kit, it probably isnt really going to handle your horsepower application. Most engine builders are going to recommend interally balancing your crank, (big money, mine was 800 bucks. lots of precisious metal). And i would recommend o-ringing the block, its more structually sound to o ring the block instead of the heads. Have everything torque plated and honed. IM running a hydralic roller cam on my combo. Great power, nice torque curve. As far as intake, i recommend victor, or maybe victor jr. Some big rpm intake for the 351 should work quite nice on blown 393, 408
peace
