The KBB is overpriced and overinflated. If your paying KBB prices, your paying too much. KBB is what the dealer wants you to pay, not the true market value of a vehicle. Generally, they are around $2000.00 to high, as demonstrated here.

And make sure your not looking at dealer retail when buying from a private owner.

ps- I just checked KBB, and thier private party value for a 93 lx 5.0 in excellent condition with 15,688K miles was $4780.00 This can vary a few hundred depending on the options on the car and exact condition, etc...

but regardless, the car isnt worth $9000.00. Not to me anyway. If its worth it to you, then pay it. Remember, a car is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it. If somebody hands over $9000.00, the seller is gonna be laughing all the way to the bank, I can promise you that much.
