Good Stall Speed?
Summit has a deal right now, 10% off your order, so I'm about ready to order my transmission and stall converter...it'll save me like $150... So the question is...what is a good stall speed for my combination in the signature? The car feels like it starts to make serious power around 3000...so I was gonna get a 3000 stall, but I'm worried about gas mileage. The tranny will be an Overdrive unit and I have a 4.10 rear. I use Overdrive constantly during city driving...I need to save all the gas I can. So of course, my rpms consistently fall to around 1500-1700 at cruise....how much slippage will I see at those rpms..will it be enough to slaughter my gas mileage? I get between 15 and 17 city right now. Thanks everyone.
By the way...would you recommend a B&M or a TCI Street Fighter stall converter? The transmission I'm getting is a TCI Street Fighter AOD.
