Sounds like your friends have it covered. Just check your crankshaft where it comes into contact with the rear main seal. I've seen some that had grooves worn into them from the rear main seals. If yours is grooved you may need to install a sleeve over the end of the crank which isn't a big deal. It's just something you want to look at just in case.
