Again, I have a 91. They're both "on top" of the motor and about the same distance from the TB. The computer sensor is plumbed into the double metal tube coolant line which originates from the upper intake manifold and leads into the heater core hoses. It is connected with the standard GI Joe type round snap connector.
The dash sensor looks like a standard bolt, brass in color, that is threaded into the upper intake manifold, opposite the tubing, that has a small metal stud protruding from the head of the "bolt". A small diameter wire is pushed onto this stud via rubber protected female type slip on connector.
Even if you change the correct sensor, if the wiring going to it is cracked, corroded, or otherwise damaged, you'll probably get a code.
