I"m running the air gap and the 625 Road Demon, when it works right, it has a ton of torque... and it'll pull past 6,000 with no problems at all!
Now, keep in mind that a Demon is different than a Holley tuning wise, and every engine is different.
I had a magazine article from Hot Rod I think, and it compared the Ford GT-40 motor with two cams, small and large comp rollers, and the Performer 289, RPM Air Gap and Vic Jr intakes all with the same Road Demon 625. I wish I could find the article again, it was great! Anyway... you cant go wrong with the air gap. That's my opinion.
