That really sucks, man.
Sorry to hear it. Of course, glad he's okay-- most important. But I know what you mean when you say that "he's gonna feel like crap tomorrow but at least he'll be here" whether you're referring to him feeling bad about the car or physically from the bruises. I'm sure he is displeased about both aspects of the crash.
I really hate to hear of people totalling their cars (or someone stealing and stripping or burning their car) 'cause I can't help but imagine that happening to mine. Even seeing anyone at the track wreck totally screws up my night....
