Default Run in with a MACH 1

At the Mobil gas station yesterday a Mach 1 was getting a bath while i gased up the LS1. I was thinkin how sweet it would be if we both left at the same time.

Well it worked out that way Plus we were in a safe place to run with the lanes 3 wide each way and nothing between the gas station and the next light which is maybe a 1 mile away.

Well he starts to pace me at 60 mph. Not the abosulte best mph for the A4 and 2.73's to go from. But I hear him downshift and I nail the A4 and it takes a sec for it to downshift, but he nailed it at the time i hit. So we had a even start by the time my car went into gear. I started to pull immediately, and by 95 or so I had a GOOD 2 cars, maybe more on him. I slowed down and he braked past me with the exhuast poping as he slowed. He rolled his window down and said "That car is fast man! I haven't gotten beaten that bad before!" I had to tell him it was a stock stalled auto with 2.73's We exhanged compliments and we were on our way.

I think he said it was stock, but the exhust did sound pretty good so maybe an off-road pipe, but I don't know. I was at the track wed. night and a bone stock '03 Mach 1 went 13.47 @ 103, which is good I think.

Fun run though!
