Default need rear end help

My pumpkin had been leaking so I decided to change the gasket back there while I was home. I think I knocked something out of place though as I slid the cover off. I think they may just be shims and I am hoping someone can tell me I can just slide them back into place, but I though I better check. I know these rear ends can be a pain in the *** and I don't know much about them, so I thought I'd check with you guys before I went and did something really stupid!

Sorry the pic isn't great...I am having trouble resizing it. You can see on the left though where it looks like some shims/rings have kind off slid out some. Can I just gently push these back into place, or did I create a big mess?
