Well, my 91 has long tubes and that BIG FAT STARTER that was on it would rub right up against one of the tubes. Drive the car for awhile and park it, go back a few minutes later and it acted like the battery was dead or something.......you know the same old story when a starter gets "Heat Soaked" as they say.
So I got an 93' starter, it is smaller and lighter
Because it has a little solenoid (?) sitting atop the actual starter unit a hot wire runs from that to the (+) side of the Ignition Solenoid, then there is some black cable that comes off the old Starter and that runs to the (-) I THINK! Dont remember, I did it like two years ago.....memory is fading fast.
So that is really it. Solved ALL my starter problems.
