The Novi's are a little quieter. They have helical cut gears instead of straight cut (like the old Vortech's used to have). A Novi 1k compared to a SC-Trim, I think the sounds would be similar.....the Vortech might be a tad louder.

The FMU is nothing but a 'band-aid' for the fuel system. IMO, ditch it and get some 42# injectors and a 255lph in-tank. If you decide on keeping the FMU and running it for a little while, there is an excelent thread on www.superchargerhelp.com about making your FMU fully adjustable . Good Luck!
