hmmm not sure if you should use it on the timing cover area where the crank seal is where it loops down. try and get that rubber piece that should slide in the cover there and use silicone for the rest. But if worst comes to worst, i guess silicone will work for it all, if its used properly. Just make sure you prep the surfaces really well(no oil, grease, debris, etc).
