- a 2 week motor swap turning into a 6 month swap
- going 2K in debt to build this thing
- not having it done before the track closes down for the winter
- fogeting to put the oil pump drive shaft in untill the motor is already in
- jacking the motor back up, dropping the pan, and putting in the oil pump drive shaft
- I get it back together and the rear main leaks
- not to mention the oil pan
- oil all over the bottom of the car
- I had to weld a dip stick tube into my pan so I could have a dip-stick
- I broke it off installing the headers
- all that crap about BBK quality was a load of horse ****
- it runs great for a week then colapses a lifter, taking out some chrome-molly pushrods and a roller rocker
- taking the distributor out only to hear the sound of my oil pump drive shaft falling into the pan.
- the realization tht I put my oil pump drive shaft in upside down (DOH!!!!)
- c-clip breaks, axle comes out going down the road
- putting in a new axle in at 1am when it's 15* outside
- 3 of the new 3" Moroso studs strip out
- the fact that one stud is stripped in the back at the splines and is just spinning in the axle
Oh well.........it'll all be worth it when I drop the hammer next week at the track. Unless it breaks
