I disconnected the line at the fuel pump return for the return line, still 85 psi, i inspected the lines for kinks and couldn't see any, i disconnected the return line at the fuel pressure regulator and ran a hose to a tank of gas and fuel pressure dropped back down to 31 psi (after trying to lower pressure with it running at 85psi). I've heard of quite a few people running those pumps without problems, but as soon as i installed it the fuel pressure wouldn't come down and as soon as i put the old one in it ran fine. I didn't change anything else like the fuel pressure regulator, lines or pickup. Maybe there was a spot of rust in the line or a kink i didn't see, but that was just my experience with that pump. Who knows
