Getting the crank knife cut just makes it to where the crank slices through the oil so you get less drag from oil sticking to the crank.

I wouldnt spend my money on that unless I was building a high rpm engine.

You are going to need an excellent set of heads.

Trickflow

As well as a port matched intake like a holley systemax or trick flow R.

To achieve 400HP out of a 302 you are also going to need a custom ground cam .550+lift, Long tube headers. 70mm TB 24 or 30# injectors.

You will also need probably 11 to 1 compression to make that much HP out of a 302.
