Thats absolutely point less. By making the runners longer you bring the RPM range lower. That intake was probably good for around idle or 1500 to probably 6000 or 6500. Now its probably reaches its peak HP band in the 5000-5000 range, but on the plus side it may have helped up the low end torque.
I wouldn't go near it myself. Since I took the stock upper and SHORTENED it, to get more flow and high RPM breathing.
