Default wheel suggestions?

I'm planning some fairly serious suspension work in the next 6-9 months, and am still debating what wheel to go for (disc brake conversion), I'm looking at the classic torque-thrusts, and a couple of the style steel repo's in a larger size, but was wondering if anyone had any rim suggestions to offer.
I'm not really interested in the shelby wheels, or the late model wheels since they would need an adaptor. (Adaptor Bad! )
Basically I'm trolling for rim ideas.
Also, what would be a good rim/tire size to go for? I like 16's+, but want to keep the tires within the stock-no rub perameters, and I dont want to have to redesign my suspension to accomidate them. The rebuild I'm looking at involves about a 1" drop to the front, and either a 1-1 1/2 drop rear.
Currently I have 14'" style steel wheels, w/ 235/60/14 tires.
Ideas?
