I will try calling but has been about 3 years and I sold the car since. I am hoping someone on this site will have some more ideas. The speed sensor and the governor were good shots. Wish I knew more about transmissions. Do know my problem was not "in" the trans but "on" it. And it was a 1994 Ford AOD-E which I bet is the same one that is in your 1994 GT.
Taking the car out of OD with the manual button also did not help. So it was not like it was the OD that was causing the problem.
What would just make the clutch disengage? What sensor could throw the car into neutral? Probably not a lot of things that could do that.
