I understand that but I still think it can be done. Longtubes do help a lot as well as o/r exhaust but I believe that is someone put forth the effort and built a motor 11s could be done and be smog legal. My cams are fairly mild and I'm sure with a good tune and catted exhaust they would pass the sniffer test hands down. Added ported heads, higher compression and all the other smog legal bolt ons and I believe you could see 280-290RWHP no problem. That along with some weight reduction and you have something similiar to my car power wise. Again it's not going to be cheap and a 4V would be a better option but just as everyone said 11s couldn't be done with stock untouched heads I believe you can run 11s with a built and smog legal motor. Just like my car it takes more work and money that's all.
